Fiss is a municipality in the Landeck district in the state of Tyrol. Together with Serfaus and Ladis, the three towns form the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski region, which, along with Sölden, Ischgl and St. Anton am Arlberg, is one of the most famous regions in Tyrol in summer and winter.
The municipality of Fiss lies on the south-facing sunny terrace at the foot of the Samnaun group, around 500 meters above the valley floor of the Upper Inn Valley. A record-breaking 2,000 hours of sunshine are recorded on Tyrol's sun terrace every year. The Schönjoch (2,491 meters high), the northwesternmost peak of the Samnau Group, rises above the town.
