Tyrol in international comparison: five top ski resorts
Every year, booking platforms and tour operators compare thousands of ski resorts to determine the best destinations for winter sports. The Omio platform analysed 6,000 ski resorts worldwide and placed five Tyrolean resorts in the top 10:
- Sölden in 2nd place
- SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental in 3rd place
- KitzSki - Kitzbühel/Kirchberg in 6th place
- Zillertal Arena in 9th place
- Kaltenbach - Hochzillertal/Hochfügen in 10th place
How are the ski resorts rated?
The evaluation criteria include the length of the ski slopes, the prices for ski passes, the number of ski lifts and the range of ski schools. Reviews on platforms such as Google also play a role. An additional ranking by tour operator Snowtrex, which also takes into account criteria such as accommodation prices, après-ski offers and guest reviews, shows a similarly positive picture for Tyrol: here, ski resorts such as Arlberg, Serfaus/Fiss/Ladis and Sölden also achieved top positions.
Why surveys and ratings are so important
According to Tirol Werbung, such rankings have a noticeable influence on guest behaviour. The importance of online reviews has grown in recent years, as personal reviews increasingly determine the choice of holiday destination. Nevertheless, the attractive offer of the Tyrolean ski resorts remains the most important factor that attracts winter guests to the region time and time again.
Tyrol's ski resorts as the key to success on the property market
Tyrolean ski resorts offer an excellent opportunity for buyers and investors looking for an attractive and stable capital investment. Investors here benefit not only from the beauty of the Alps, but also from long-term positive market development and a lucrative winter sports season.
